For Mars Netherlands, based in Veghel, we have a great and challenging temporary position open as Activation Coordinator. In this role your primary responsibility is to enable the rapid introduction of (new) products and packs to a specific market, including over 70 markets worldwide. It is a pivotal role, where you will manage several projects simultaneously and will have to communicate a lot with different internal- and external stakeholders.

Your role as an Activation Coordinator

Of course you know Mars. Maybe you are even a fan! But while eating one of those creamy chocolate bars, have you ever thought about all the things that need to be taken care of before the product hits the shelves? For those who are looking for a challenging project management position in the food industry, this is a one of a kind opportunity.

As an Activation Coordinator at Mars, you will lead projects related to the introduction of existing products into new markets/countries. For instance the introduction of a special editions white chocolate Twix bar. In this role clear communication is key, since it is a very project-oriented role. You initiate the changes to be carried out using a global business information system and have frequent daily telephone contact with various international stakeholders from different departments such as Sales, Compliance, Marketing and Research & Development, regarding the progress of the projects.

What is the offer?

From the very beginning, you will receive a very thorough training on the job, but this will quickly be followed up with your own tasks and responsibilities. What makes this position interesting is that, as a pivotal function, you will be dealing with different fields of expertise within Mars and become part of a multinational company that is a global leader in all these fields.

  • It concerns a temporary function for 7 moths, until at least the end of the year;
  • You will be seconded by SMS Intermediair for 32 or 36 hours a week;
  • You will be offered a great salary based on your experience, between €3.100,- and €3.300,-;
  • You will primarily work from home, due to the coronavirus.

Mars as employer

Mars is a multinational company with a wide range of products in FMCG. Your workplace is located in an open-plan office, less than twenty metres from one of the world's largest chocolate factories. Outside you will smell the scent of roasted peanuts, inside you will see hundreds of thousands of chocolates passing by on numerous conveyor belts.

In this role you will work for the Activity department, which is responsible for new product introductions. It is an international team with 7 team members.

Requirements

For this role we are looking for a highly motivated and action orientated colleague. You do not wait for questions to be asked, but will make sure the process and deadlines are clear to everyone involved in advance. In addition you have:

  • A Higher education degree, with 2 years experience in a project/ workflow management position (preferably in FMCG);
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Strong Attention to Detail and process-oriented
  • Microsoft software in general, but specifically experienced with Excel;
  • Comfortable to interact with a wide range of international stakeholders on a daily basis;
  • Immediately available;
